Due to the large content of big metal parts in the slag, all conventional crushing methods failed. Thanks to the use of Destro Serv, the slag was crushed and effective iron separation was consequently enabled. The slag is further processed into aggregate, mainly for road construction.

The company’s own crushing technology enables the processing of material up to the size of components up to 300 mm, which excludes more than 50% of the material from further processing. DestroServ technology enabled the crushing of all production of converter slag fraction 0-600 mm for subsequent magnetic separation of iron and further processing of slag into aggregates and for chemical production.
In the case of processing slag from dephosphorization of the 0-400 mm fraction with a high iron content, the aim was to reduce the fraction and purify the metal from the slag.
